Cara Goodwin
Cara Goodwin’s poetry has appeared in Bywords, flo., and Room. She received an Honourable Mention for the John Newlove Award in 2021 and was shortlisted for Room’s Annual Poetry Prize the same year. In 2023, she earned a second Honourable Mention from the John Newlove Award for her poem “Little Fish.” Cara holds a BA (Hons) in Social Communications and a diploma in Professional Writing. She is of Cree and white settler descent; her mother and family are members of Fort McMurray First Nation.
