Editor’s Notes
Greetings Dear Readers,
As summer approaches with its long light, this month’s poems invite us to take pleasure in the game, the harvest, the coy. It is a time for taking a pause to notice what is good in the world and celebrate its joys. I hope you enjoy the issue.
I urge you to read poetry over the summer, by the shade of a tree, on a dock being gently rocked by the waves, in an air-conditioned local library, on a slow-moving train to a remote town. There is poetry in the sweet-scented air, in the night-sky, at a concert beneath the stars, everywhere you look and listen, you will find poetry. Keep your mind and your heart open, your senses awake to the poetry around you.
