Editor's Notes

Greetings Dear Readers,

The July issue features poems that evoke grief, hypocrisy, war, hostile environments, and storms. Is this fraught and tense world being echoed in the poems being written and shared these days? I feel this is the case. May these poems serve to articulate a shared lament and remind us of our solidarity in the face of troubles.

July is always a quiet month for poetry readings in Ottawa, but they do continue, along with open mics, zine making, radio shows, and book signings. Check out the calendar for readings at Perfect Books, Ten Toes Café and Zoom, and signings at local bookstores.

I hope your summer is full of poetry and sunshine.
