Editor’s Notes

While winter isn't officially here yet, Ottawa and area are already having more than our fair share of snow and cold weather. I hope you're using the time to cozy down with some poetry. To help you with that, this month's issue offers five new poems and Keith Garebian's review of Elana Wolff's poetry collection, Everything Reminds You of Something Else . Enjoy the issue.

2017 has been a good year for Ottawa's literary community with a full calendar of literary, spoken word, story telling and nonfiction events in the National Capital Region. Most recently Arc Poetry Magazine held the first ever Laureate City event, two days of readings and workshops by Canada's poets laureate. There are still spoken word showcases, slams and poetry readings to attend.

Have you purchased books for your loved ones for the holidays? There's still time to drop by Perfect Books, Octopus Books, Books on Beechwood, Black Squirrel Books, Patrick McGahern Books, Troubador Books and the Book Bazaar for gifts for friends and family.
