Edward Folger

I was born in New York City and studied poetry with Kenneth Koch at Columbia University in New York (many years ago). Over the years, I have continued to write poetry, but have had a career as a film and video writer/director. I immigrated to Canada in 1980 after making a dramatic film for PBS (Los Angeles) on Baffin Island. I married an Inuit woman and lived in the Eastern Arctic for 10 years, training Inuit filmmakers and eventually becoming the Executive Producer of Drama for the Inuit Broadcasting Corporation. I am now living in Ottawa and working on video art projects, poetry, short fiction and a novel.
