Segun Akinlolu and his band, Beautiful Nubia, will mesmerize us with guitar, djembe and tabla. World beat and word beat will entice us all out of our summer slumber, and give us energy for the autumn.

This month’s local scene article was written by one of Bywords’ own editorial team, Krisha Wignarajah. Steve Artelle, another Bywords team member, and organizer of the Ottawa Literary Heritage Society, took us all on a ramble through Ottawa, and Krisha is our cub reporter.
