Editor’s Notes

Greetings Dear Readers,

To fellow Ottawa residents, I take a moment to wish us all an end to this occupation by hate mongers. I am taking refuge in art, including poetry.

Without further delay, I present the February issue. Lindsay Clayton-Day gives us optimism and hope through shades of green. Laurie Koensgen offers us divinity and mysterious glyphs of the moon. Jarrah Hodge gives us an oratorio of praise to nature. I am heartened by the fact that people can still find hope, even in the unremitting darkness. Hope may be a raggedy feathered little bird at the moment, but it never stops.

Thanks to our selection committee this month:

If you have questions, suggestions, words of hope to offer, please e-mail me at amanda@bywords.ca.

In the meantime, keep writing and reading poetry.
