Ringlets

I pay attention to circlets and coils
downward spiral of whirlpool, scull-formed eddies in currents
pea tendrils as they cling, bean plants winding around poles
bindweed, morning glory in opposition
genetic material in cell nuclei, poised to spring into production
hair-locks falling over forehead, contrived or natural
silky tresses, lovelocks, rolls and scrolls and corkscrews
twisting tighter, looping corona into frizzy halo
that threatens to explode into stars finding their way
around the galaxy in majestic spiral, vision expands almost too far
but shrinks back again to the curls that nestle against your neck
when you think you need a haircut
