Seymour Mayne

Seymour Mayne’s latest collections include Ricochet: Word Sonnets/Sonnets d'un mot (University of Ottawa Press, 2011) and The Old Blue Couch and Other Stories (Ronald P. Frye & Company, 2012). This past spring saw two more books of his published in translation: Auspicious Calligraphy: Word Sonnets (Tracus Arte, 2014) and The Old Blue Couch and Other Stories (Adenium, 2014), both in Romanian. Cusp, a selection of new word sonnets, is being published this year by Ronald P. Frye & Company to mark fifty years since his first collection of poetry appeared in print in Montreal. He has been teaching at the University of Ottawa since 1973.
