Impractical Spanish

I had no plans to do business in Chile
or vacation in Mexico City
but one cold windy day
downtown up on a pole 
I saw a flyer flapping: 

                                 IMPRACTICAL SPANISH
                                  Ten Easy Lessons!
                                       F R E E

I want to read Neruda,
Isabelle Allende,
La gris Ardilla,
watch Almodóvar
and have a 100 years of solitude
so of course I took the number.

It doesn't matter
though
even if I spoke perfect Spanish
I would not understand her
                   and I would still want to learn.
