Madly, upside in cities

We keep coming back
to leaving	splitting this place
at the seams for good		or
at least a couple of weeks – 
just two birds more soaring
down to cities
for some heat and celebrate
and eat among strange french pigeons
and holler drunken and amorous
thru new streets and clamor up fire
escapes with some craze on your lips – 

Why are we still singing? and we
hopped over to the depot and shot
off madly into the night like wild
sliding stars and rolled with that grey
hound all till mornin



(footnote: Slight variation on seventh chorus desolation blues
           location changes sentiment stays the same
               however – one minor detail
               we were runnin see
               towards the blue vision
               of cities to dream away
               the old		   the known)
