Buffalo Stone

stone smoothed by years in crowds,

brushing against, bursting past, breaking

through and into the open where

the air takes over the surfaces of

skin; creating so much more in the

sun that we see the cracks; microscopic

fissures sealed w/ rainwater; cleaning

out the pores filled w/ dirt over the

years; winter comes, breaking stone.
