Self-Satisfied Curvature of the Lips
Staring threw me
Through my crisp, slit-cut, Chakti-split Gaelic eyes
Cover story
a. heart filled with verse
sc.rawlings splash across my mouth
Metaphorically, mechanically, meandering
Under breath
riSing and withHolding
What I'm Jones-ing to read aloud
But for the self-consciousness of maleness
is poetry in a coffee shop:
"Beauty... that I am not supposed to enjoy"
Like foreplay, holding hands, or any silent, side-by-side seduction
Anything e-Masculated, un-Hetero, un/in/hibited or un/in/habit/ed
All for the Mass appeal
of another cover story
The one where my eyes are thrown
I'm alone
and words escape me
No fondness for "lovely" allowed - just read the signs
of patriarchy
a.word escape artist with self-satisfied curvature of lips
a.courtesan flo-etic,
Epic-Natured
Like Echo to Narcissus
Gypsy ravings,
and these spent, manly minstrel cravings
weep silently
for pause-pulse epistemology
Inspired by the work of a. rawlings
