Editor’s Notes

Greetings Readers,

Welcome to the February issue. This month four poets grace our electronic stage, including Jeff Blackman, a.m. kozak, Marie-Andrée Auclair and Dalton Derkson. Enjoy the poems.

It may still be cold out but the literary calendar is heating up. The VERSeFest annual poetry festival's schedule is up, as is the schedule for the Plan 99 Reading Series. The Tree Reading Series also has its spring schedule arranged. In other news, February 16 is the last Dusty Owl reading at Mugshots. The series will take a break and return in September on Wednesdays at Pour Boy. In/Words continues to hold its fabulous late night reading series at the Clocktower Pub on Bank and spoken word is alive and well via the Capital Poetry Collective, including Capital Slam, Urban Legends, the New Shirt Slam, the Ottawa Youth Poetry Slam, and LIPS for those of you in the Ottawa Valley. Once you've had your fill of BeaverTails and hot chocolate on the canal, take your skates off and head on over to a reading series near you.

Thanks to our selection committee this month:

Janie Beriault
Beth Ann Hubbert
Fiona Mitchell
Pamela Mosher
