Editor’s Notes

Greetings Dear Readers,

This month's issue features the poetry of five current and former residents, and rob mclenna's review of Poetryworld by former Ottawa resident, Louis Cabri. I hope you enjoy the issue.

If you haven't already, please help VERSeFest, Ottawa's annual poetry festival, raise needed funds for this year's program. There are a number of different perks to be had plus you'd be supporting an important literary cause.

Another important cause is Arc Poetry Magazine's campaign to put contemporary Canadian poetry in the hands of young readers. You can donate here

Speaking of fundraising, thanks to all of those who donated to our January Cornerstone Women's Shelter fundraiser. With your generous assistance, we managed to raise $636 for the shelter. Thanks to all who participated in making the event a success. The Manx was packed and we had a great time. Stay tuned for news about our fall campaign for the AIDS/HIV Walk for Life.

Thanks to our selection committee:

Please join me in welcoming another new member of the selection committee, Beth Ann Hubbert, who comes to us from Windsor, Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
