Last month you heard that I was in the hospital and Charles very kindly posted my editor's notes for me. I am recovering and happy to be home. Thanks to some very kind Bywords supporters and contributors, the fall Bywords reading was able to occur at the Dusty Owl in November and we had a table at the small press fair. Thanks also to those of you who sent me cards, letters, books, and various other lovely gifts. I am very fortunate to have great friends in the literary community. It's a wonderful community.
December's poets are Luminita Suse, Brandon Marlon, Matt Beanish and Rachael Simpson. Hope you enjoy.
In January on the 17th, Dusty Owl will host the launch of the winter issue of the Bywords Quarterly Journal. It is also our fundraiser for Cornerstone Women's Shelter. Tiah Akse will perform the music and BQJ contributors will be reading their poems. We will give you a copy of the BQJ for a donation to Cornerstone. This is our Bywords Warms the Night reading and we've been doing it now since Bywords.ca began. More on this in the new year.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year's and I look forward to resuming my attendance at literary events and seeing you there.
Thanks to this month's selection committee:
Jamie Bradley, Vanessa Davies, Stéphanie Lafleur, Kemisha Newman, Claudia Coutu Radmore, Carol A. Stephen, JC Sulzenko, and Victoria Vernell.
