I built this string of disjointed sentences for this girl

I just met. I gave it to her and she kissed me

on the cheek, letting me know she

thought I was foolish and sweet, before getting on the 5

and riding all the way down jasper, back to her apartment

where she said she lived with her boyfriend who she loved dearly.

I said to her, “I don’t care; I just want to hold you.”

she said, “I know.”

I told her about destiny, and she laughed, and laughed, and laughed and called me a

victim of philosophy.

“sometimes I am, but right now, I just think that you have beautiful eyes.”
